Another way of storytelling

Incorporating gestures and interaction when telling a story makes it more lively and interesting to the public. Show your children how to create a story map and then encourage them to change the elements to make the story their own. Good to use colour-coded strips of paper to elicit words (eg pink for typical characters, green for setting, blue for adjectives, yellow for actions...orange for prepositions...) and build a rattle-bag of ideas for their story.
